After 1 month (a hot minute) together, Jesus and I decided to why not look for somewhere warm to escape in April. We’d initially thought of the Canaries, but then Jesus found an incredible Maldives deal— Yes Maldives on a Deal, something I’d always imagined saving for “one day.” With six nights all-inclusive at the 5-star Brennia Kottefaru Resort, flights, a seaplane transfer, and activities included, it was too good to pass up – Thank you Voyage Prive!
Landing in Malé, we had a nearly private seaplane taking us to the resort, giving us a stunning view of the islands below. We stayed in an Ocean Pool Villa, a perfect setup for couples. If you’re bringing kids, a beach house would be better.
Maldives is everything you’ve dreamt of & more! We spent the days relaxing, often feeling like we had private beaches to ourselves. Be warned: the sun here is strong — I got burnt on the first day! Bring high SPF and cover up when needed.
Our VP package included some great experiences: a sunset cruise, where the views were unreal, and a snorkeling trip where we saw turtles and beautiful fish.
For an additional cost, I even tried my first beginner dive, and Jesus reactivated his PADI so we could dive together—a memorable way to see the underwater world.
From beach BBQs to beautiful fresh fruit each morning, the food was varied and surprisingly nice for an all-in package. Evenings were low-key with plenty of options to keep us entertained, and we also tried paddleboarding, laughing every time one of us fell into the crystal-clear water below.
A highlight was the floating breakfast, which lived up to the hype — a great way to start the day.
Leaving the Maldives, we couldn’t stop talking about how the trip had exceeded our expectations. I’d never imagined to book the Maldives on a deal, and it’s definitely worth checking out places like Voyage Prive!
Quick Tip: A tripod is worth packing for those unforgettable sunset shots.
